Shelanti the place of many returns and enduring memories.  Superbly green in summer or cool and clear in winter, Shelanti will beckons you to come again.  Proud to be part of the Waterberg Biosphere Reserve, and malaria-free, Shelanti is privately-owned and managed by a team of well qualified and dedicated people whose first qualification is their true love for and interest in the bush. 

Shelanti lies between rural villages of Marken and Baltimore in the bush veldt of the Northern Province and is not much further than a three hour drive from the Johannesburg and less than two hours from Pietersburg.  There is always time for relaxation at Shelanti.  Activities are varied and adapted.  The safety and enjoyment of our visitor's enjoy pride of place, while we ourselves enjoy our guest and our work.

Shelanti, an ecological paradise for those who can appreciate and respect the African bush at its very best.  Shelanti is cared for by its directors, Edwin Claassen and Piet Snyman, both great nature lovers with a special concern for South Africa's diminishing conservational assets.

Enjoy in comfort and with true South African hospitality the many splendid sights Shelanti has to offer.  At night you may encounter leopards, spotted and brown hyena, aardwolf, black rhino, black-backed jackal or bat-eared fox.  Porcupine, aardvark, springhare and bush babies and nocturnal birds also add spice to a variety of life at night.
